With an incredible turnout of 400 attendees, the evening proved to be a powerful and engaging event focused on keeping riders safer on Scotland’s roads.
Building on the success of 2025, the Dunfermline roadshow delivered an informative, practical and thought-provoking programme that resonated strongly with riders of all experience levels.

Insightful, Practical and Engaging Programme
The evening featured a wide-ranging line-up of expert-led sessions, including:

- First-on-scene guidance, including a live helmet-removal demonstration, providing essential knowledge that could make a critical difference in an emergency.
- Key findings from road casualty statistics and detailed collision analysis, helping riders better understand real-world risks.
- A clear explanation of post-accident procedures, from initial investigation through to COPFS reporting.
- An eye-opening session on SMIDSY (“Sorry Mate, I Didn’t See You”) and the science of being seen, highlighting practical ways riders can improve visibility.
- Guidance on rider refinement and advanced training opportunities, outlining who provides training and what it involves.

Expert Presenters and Strong Community Support
Attendees heard from respected presenters Thomas Mitchell, Ewen Stewart, Ali Johnson, Mick Pumfrey, Stevie Davie and Eric Hill, alongside local motorcycling organisations and suppliers who were on hand to offer advice, resources and support.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was positive, focused and community-driven, with riders engaging in thoughtful discussions and sharing experiences. The strong attendance reflects the continued appetite within the motorcycling community for high-quality, practical road safety education.
